Quads
storm the German Registration lists…
As a considerable drop in the registration of cars and
bikes are apparent in the registration lists, the Quad
market however explodes forward. In 2003 the registration
of light-weight off-road vehicles was 16.135 units. The
sales list for the first half year in 2004 reached a breathtaking
14.800 units. The leading units coming from producers
in Taiwan and Japan, with new registrations for standard

Fuelcell-Quad
runs on Hydrogen
Peugeot presented in September the first example study
Quad at the motor show in Paris. The Hydrogen-Quad is
driven by four integrated electric motors on the wheels.
The motors provide a maximum torque of 400 NM and a maximum
power output of 46 PS. The 425 Kg vehicle accelerated
in 6.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and reaches a top speed
of 110 km/h.
The Peugeot-Quad gets its power from fuel-cells. The Quad
has an exchangable tank in the form of a Hydrogen bottle
fitted at the rear. The nine litre tank provides enough
fuel to reach distances of around 100 to 130 Kilometres.
